Within each of us resides a heart space, an infinite space held within the chest though not contained by it. The ancient yogis called this hridayakasha or the ‘cave of the heart’ – the home of your true self.
It is thought that within this cave is a light, like a candle flame. When we are at peace, living in harmony with our own true nature, it burns without flickering.
Namaste (the Sanskrit greeting) literally means “the light that is within me sees and honours the light that is within you.” This is the light living within our heart space.
In the fast-paced world we live in, it’s too easy to become stuck in our head and disconnected from our heart.
When we connect to our own heart it enables us to tune into our emotions and pay attention to how we truly feel. When we are feeling good in our bodies and inspired in our hearts and minds, our natural response is to do good and to treat ourselves and others with kindness and compassion.
Heart Space is about recognising the light and potential within ourselves and others. Connecting to our true nature - our own 'inner wisdom' - to learn, grow and share for the benefit of others and the world.
Moon classes this month
I've been studying yoga and meditation since 2007 and teaching since 2008. My own healing journey drove me to take my health and wellbeing into my own hands which led me to Ayurveda in 2014. After implementing the daily routine of Ayurveda and noticing the profound impact it had on my health, energy and happiness, I began supporting students into these better mind/body lifestyle practices in 2018. My deep desire is to see more people evolve into their fullest potential, to become more self-aware and to step into a more conscious and 'awake' life.
Yoga, meditation and Ayurveda have been vital to my healing journey, and through sharing the knowledge I’ve gathered I aim to inspire and support others through the importance of healthy lifestyle routines to bring more ease and joy into their lives.
Curious to learn more? Please get in touch to schedule a FREE 30 minute Discovery Session with me. Here we’ll identify where you’re at now and where you’d like to be and how I can help you get there.
Yoga and Ayurveda are about living in alignment, not just with ourselves but with the natural and intelligent rhythms of the world around us.
The body is equipped with all the tools and wisdom to heal itself. I want to share how you too can tap into your body’s intelligence and align yourself with the rhythms of nature, to experience more ease.
I’ve been teaching yoga and meditation since 2008. I hold a 500hr RYT Yoga Teacher’s Training certificate, Yoga Nidra Level 1& 2 as well as being P.L.A.Y Children’s Teacher Training qualified. My yoga training and development has been with Ashram Yoga New Zealand. In 2019 I became a certified Ayurveda & Yoga Health Coach with Yoga Healer International.
I coach people into healthier habits of body, mind and spirit through my online Good Change programme. I also teach in-person yoga postures, breath-work, meditation, and deep relaxation (yoga nidra) as vehicles to create more strength, balance and bliss.
Together with Ayurveda and modern day behavioral science, I guide and support you into deeper alignment with nature’s rhythm. To experience deeper rest, more energy, optimal digestion and more calm. I help you get your body working smarter not harder.
I teach workshops, specialty online courses, group classes and individuals.
I also honour the phases of the moon, in my practice and life, and I see value in offering classes and sessions that are supportive at a given time in the lunar month. For example, during the new moon I incorporate a longer relaxation in my classes whereas a more energising class will be on offer two weeks from then, around the full moon.
I’m all about making yoga, meditation and Ayurveda accessible and am passionate about helping others to be the best version of themselves – on and off the mat.
Osteopath & Yoga Teacher
Rebecca is a passionate teacher dedicated to yoga, her personal practice, and her students. Her caring and positive nature makes everyone feel welcome.
She is always seeking deeper in her practice and loves sharing the insights and tools, which she collects on her personal journey, with her students.
I attended her 6-week meditation classes, during which Rebecca thoroughly delivered practical tools whilst keeping theory and philosophy accessible to all.
Each class was workshop quality.
Rebecca has a gift with words and if you are lucky to attend one of her Yoga Nidra, this will feel like a nurturing treat you gift yourself
